Extra Table FEEDS could not carry out its mission of bridging the hunger gap in our state without the partners and relationships we have built in communities across Mississippi. While we feel this gratitude every single day, we will be taking time each year to pause and recognize our most passionate supporters.
The Good on the Go Tour is a statewide road trip honoring our partners in the food fight—the people, businesses, and communities doing incredible work day in and day out to support Extra Table FEEDS’ mission—and showing just how far good can go.
Award Nominations - May 1- May 15
You may nominate one award or submit nominations for multiple awards. You are not required to complete every category. The Selection Committee will meet in early June to review nominations and make final decisions.
*If you would like to be part of this meaningful process, we would love to have you join the Selection Committee. The committee meeting will have an in person and Zoom meeting option. Please email info@extratable.org that you are interested in serving on the Selection Committee.

1. Exceptional BOARD MEMBER
UnBEETable Award
This award honors a board member who goes above and beyond in every way—leadership, generosity, advocacy, and heart. Their commitment to Extra Table is unmatched, and their impact is deeply felt across our mission. Simply put, they are unBEETable.
2. food pantry or soup kitchen
Lettuce Celebrate Award
This award recognizes a food pantry or soup kitchen —within the Extra Table network or beyond—that is doing outstanding work to fight hunger in their community. Through compassion, innovation, and dedication, they are making a meaningful impact in the lives of those they serve.
The recipient will receive a one-time $1,000 donation of food from Extra Table to help them continue—and expand—their incredible work.
3. VOLUNTEER
Orange We Grateful for You Award
This award celebrates a volunteer who consistently goes the extra mile to support Extra Table. Whether showing up at events, writing thank-you notes, building something, or stepping in wherever needed, this person embodies generosity and service. We simply couldn’t do it without them—and Orange We Grateful!
4. SPECIAL PROJECT / NON EXTRA TABLE EVENT
EGG-cellent Event Award
This award honors a standout event or creative initiative that supported Extra Table in a unique and impactful way. Whether led by a board member, partner, or community group, this effort was thoughtful, effective, and truly egg-ceptional in advancing our mission.
5. BUSINESS PARTNER
What a Pear Award
This award celebrates a business who is a perfect partner to Extra Table—a business who not only believes in the mission but actively helps share our story and engage others. Their commitment to fighting hunger is strong, visible, and inspiring. Together, we make the perfect “pear.”
6. HEALTH & NUTRITION STAR
RADish Award
This award recognizes a pantry, partner, or individual who goes the extra mile to provide healthy food options and nutrition education. While this work isn’t always easy, their commitment reflects the very heart of Extra Table’s founding mission—creating stronger, healthier communities. That dedication makes them truly RAD-ish.
7. STORYTELLER / ADVOCATE / MEDIA PERSONALITY / INFLUENCER
Spreading the JAM Award
This award recognizes an individual, business, or organization that has gone above and beyond to spread Extra Table’s story and raise awareness about food insecurity. Through social media, word-of-mouth, campaigns, or creative storytelling, they’ve helped amplify the mission and bring new people to the table. Their voice is helping turn awareness into action—and that’s how real change grows.
8. YOUTH (25 & Under)
Cream of the Crop Award

This award recognizes a young leader, age 25 or younger, who is already making a powerful impact in the fight against hunger. Through creativity, passion, and drive, they are helping lead the way—and proving they are truly the Cream of the Crop.
9. ELECTED OFFICIAL
Everyday I’m BRUSSELing Award
This award honors an elected official who works tirelessly to advocate for Extra Table and the communities we serve. Through constant support, storytelling, and connecting resources, they hustle every day to help move our mission forward.
10. ROBERT ST. JOHN founder's AWARD

This award is presented to an individual who exemplifies outstanding leadership and impact in the fight against food insecurity. Selected and defined by Robert St. John, this honor recognizes someone whose work reflects passion, innovation, and a deep commitment to feeding those in need.
