There are so many ways for you to join our team and help us fight hunger in Mississippi!
Extra Table could not do what we do without volunteers like YOU. Every time you volunteer with us, you leave knowing you’ve helped place food on the tables of our neighbors in need.
To join our team of volunteers, simply fill out the information below telling us what skills you have and how you want to help. Once we connect, we will inform you about upcoming Extra Table events, fundraisers, impact stories and volunteer opportunities.
Volunteering at Extra Table could mean sorting shirts, writing thank yous, calling donors, brainstorming, helping at a pantry or event, asking for donations, packing food boxes and bagging rice…the list of what we ask our volunteers to do is endless and important to our feeding successes!
UPCOMING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
✴️ October 23 - Empty Bowls in Cleveland. Email me (martha@extratable.org) if you would like to volunteer.
TBD Thanksgiving Chicken Distribution (Gulfport, Hattiesburg, Jackson, Greenville, Tupelo, and McComb)
✴️ December 7 - Pallet Packing, Extra Table Warehouse, 5912 Highway 49 in Hattiesburg. RSVP directly to me if you can attend. Closed toe shoes and gym shorts are the perfect attire. There are always t-shirts to sort and stuff to do that does not require lifting, should you be unable to lift.
✴️ For office-related volunteer opportunities, these are more case-specific or project specific. The best way to get involved during the week at our office is to schedule a time to drop by our office so we can meet you, discuss your interests, and explore how and when you can best help.
