In one high-energy hour, 100 volunteers turn Mississippi-grown rice and beans into 10,000 hearty, nourishing meals for families across our state. Bags fly down the line, music fills the room, teammates cheer each other on and the impact stacks up fast. It is hands-on, feel-good and just the right amount of groovy. You bring the people and personality; Extra Table FEEDS brings the mobile factory, ingredients, equipment and know-how. When the last bag is sealed, your team will be standing in front of 10,000 meals—and one unforgettable service experience.

What you get

2,500 Extra Full meal kits — 10,000 meals total — for the food pantry, school, or community you choose. They'll pick up the finished kits at the end of the event and sign a waiver releasing Extra Table and your group from any liability.
Branded event materials your group can customize with your own logo.
A short video so your volunteers know exactly what they're signing up to do — no surprises, we promise.
A fun fact to share with your team while you pack: once a family gets their kit, dinner is almost embarrassingly easy. Just add water — it genuinely takes fewer steps than making a box of mac and cheese.

What it costs and timeframe

$5,500, plus travel — we will confirm any travel cost when you book. For an additional price, we can customize your experience and put your brand on everything!
Payment is due in full at booking and goes directly toward purchasing your event's supplies.
Book 6–8 weeks ahead of your preferred date so we can guarantee supplies are in stock — the earlier you reach out, the more flexibility we have to find a date that works for you.

What we need from you —

nothing complicated, we promise

An indoor, air-conditioned or heated space about the size of a

basketball court, with double doors (no center bar, no steps) so we can roll supplies

in on a pallet, and a hard, sweepable floor.

10 volunteers 1 hour before start time for setup, 100–125 volunteers for the

main event, and 10 volunteers for cleanup afterward.

Two electrical outlets and a way to dispose of trash at the end of the event.
Everyone must sign an Extra Table FEEDS volunteer release.

Extra Table FEEDS arrives with the ingredients, equipment, staff and quality-control system needed to run the event. Volunteers move through ingredient, weighing, sealing, inspection and packing stations. No food-packing experience is required; our team demonstrates every job before the event begins and supports volunteers throughout the hour.

Each station is designed to be simple, repeatable and easy to understand. The pace stays lively, the work remains organized and your volunteers can see the finished meals accumulate as they pack.

Where the finished meals go

Your organization may request a food pantry, school or community partner to receive the finished meals. Extra Table FEEDS will confirm that the proposed recipient is appropriate, coordinate the distribution plan and explain pickup or delivery requirements before the event.

When emergency-response needs exist, Extra Full meals may also be directed to communities recovering from a hurricane, tornado, flood or other disaster.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the event take?

The primary packing event lasts approximately 60 minutes. Hosts should also plan for one hour of setup before the event and cleanup immediately afterward.

How many volunteers do we need?

A standard event works best with approximately 100 to 125 packing volunteers, plus ten setup volunteers and ten cleanup volunteers.

Do volunteers need food-packing experience?

No. Extra Table FEEDS explains each station, demonstrates the work and provides staff support throughout the event.

Can our organization choose where the food goes?

You may request a pantry, school or community partner. Extra Table FEEDS will review the request, confirm the recipient and coordinate the distribution plan.

Can we add our organization's branding?

Yes. Event materials can be customized with the host organization's logo. Expanded branding and customized experiences are available through premium event packages.

Can the meals support disaster response?

Yes. Extra Full is shelf-stable, requires no refrigeration and needs only water and one pot for preparation. When emergency needs arise, Extra Table FEEDS can direct available meals into its disaster-response network.
